7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah From 1 to 30 September.

Agartala, Tripura, 1st of September, 2024 :  Rashtriya Poshan Maah or Nutrition Month will be celebrated in the State through various programs in the month of September. For this purpose, this special month will be observed from September 1-30 through various programmes. Director of State Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapan Kumar Das informed. He said that the objective of celebrating the 7th Rashtriya Poshan Month is to ensure the good health of mothers, children and adolescents through behavioral changes to create a well-nourished India. Poshan Maah will be celebrated throughout the month of September in all the Anganwadi Centers and in all the districts of the State through various programmes.

The program includes awareness raising and screening for anemia among mothers, children and adolescents. Weight and height of mothers, children and adolescents will be measured at Anganwadi centers. Anganwadi centers will provide supplementary nutrition to mothers and children. Nutritional Poshan-V programme and improved services through use of technology. Besides, tree plantation drive will be done under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ programme.

The 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was launched from Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat today. The event, centered on promoting nutrition related awareness and well-being across the nation, was graced by Smt. Annpurna Devi, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, Smt. Bhanuben Babariya, Minister of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat, senior officers from Government of India and State Government of Gujarat, and other dignitaries.  The 7th  Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 will focus on the themes of Anaemia, Growth Monitoring, Complementary Feeding, Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi, Technology for better Governance, and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.  The month-long campaign aims to further intensify efforts to combat malnutrition and promote holistic well being across the nation.
