71 BN CRPF organized a “Swatchha Bharat Abhiyan” in connection with upcoming Valor Day (09 April 2023) at Khumulwng Degree Hostel surrounding area, in which approximately 30 students & teachers from Govt. Degree college, Khumulwng, along with personnel from all ranks & files participated with full enthusiasm. Sh. Khekato Aye, (Second-InCommandant-71 Bn CRPF) addressed the students about the importance of health & sanitation and encouraged them to take active participation in cleanliness drive. In the evening, 71 Bn CRPF organized a volley ball tournament at B/71 Bn location, Chakmaghat, Dist-Khowai under civic action programme.
Sh. Khekato Aye welcomed the participating teams and invited all players to maintain a healthy and competitive spirit in sports and also encouraged them to excel in other aspects of life as well. Speaking on the occasion he said that it is an endeavor of CRPF to serve the people of the country through public-friendly and sensitive policing. Civic Action Program are being organized to foster good relationship with the local people. The event witnessed a huge gathering of locals of the area. The aim of organizing sports events was to provide opportunities to the youth of far flung areas to display their talent in the field of sports.
In all 04 teams participated in the game, One team from Rajnagar village, Teliamura, one team from Twikarma village, one team from Mungiakami and one team from Star Club Chakmaghat. All the participating teams were provided with sports jersey and other sports items. Sh. Prasun Kanti Tripura, SDPO Teliamura, Sh. Sunil Das, Surpanch, Chakmaghat along with Sh. Harishankar Prasad (A/C) Sh. Deepak Shukla (A/C) and unit personnel were present in the programme. The general public & civil administration on praised and welcomed the noble effort taken by CRPF for its generous social initiative and support in cementing police public cooperation.
