5th Indigenous Traditional Attire & Food Fest 2025 Organized.

Amarpur, Tripura, 5th of January 2025 : With the initiative of Taidu Sporting Club the 5th Indigenous Traditional Attire & Food Festival 2025 has been initiated here Taidu village under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura with great enthusiasm and excitement. Under the able guidance and supervision of the club secretary Mr Govinda Kalai the club authority has constituted this mega fest with various indigenous cultural programme segments. In the presence of Ampi Nagar 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia and other many distinguished dignitaries EM Kamal Kalai (TTAADC) has inaugurated the event. On this 3 day long (4 to 6th January 2025) auspicious occasion a large number of indigenous people from different places have assembled here in the programme venue and participated in this heritage inspiring social programme. To generate indigenous foods and costumes exhibition many stalls and shops have been installed in the programme venue.

With the active cooperative hard work of the Sporting Club volunteers the food festival of 2025 has appeared as grand splendid festival for all indigenous and non indigenous people of the area. The fabulous expo of indigenous foods and fabulous colourful traditional costumes as well as miscellaneous indigenous household articles exhibition have made the programme very attractive. Large number of people have participated in the fest; purchased indigenous foods and traditional costumes in the festival and enjoyed different kinds of indigenous traditional cultural programme segments performed by indigenous artists in the festival.

Addressing the gathering EM Kamal Kalai has said, “Our indigenous foods and costumes have great unique feature and reputation; it is our fundamental responsibility that we have to preserve and promote our traditional properties for our next generation. Our traditional culture, foods and costumes are our valuable heritage which is our unique identity all over the world.”

In the other hand MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has explained the benefits & significance of various indigenous food items which are totally free from oil and spice but very delicious. He more added that indigenous foods are cent percent organic and very beneficial to maintain better health. On this auspicious occasion Sporting Club authority has distributed different kinds of prestigious prizes amongst event competitors and warm blankets to needy families as well as study materials amidst school students. The local villagers have appreciated this heritage motivational initiative and thanked the concerned club authority for their dashing programme management.
