Amarpur, Tripura, 23rd of October 2024 : The annual harvest festival of the Molsom tribe of Halam community ‘Anthar Buthar Festival, 2024 has been organized here in Gamagur village under Ampi nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura with great festive mood. With the initiative of the Molsom Youth Association 17th State Level Anthar Buthar Festival 2024 was a joyous point this year for all communities where people were buzzing in the celebration. A large number of Molsom people from all over Tripura have assembled here in the programme venue in this annually harvest festival of Anthar Buthar with great enthusiasm and excitement. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries MYA president Ramani Kumar Molsom has inaugurated the festival. The meaning of Anthar Buthar has its root sense in respect of time as per the term stated. Anthar means newly collected green vegetables and Buthar means newly harvested rice collected from jhum cultivation which are presented to God first by the Molsom tribe. On this occasion many stalls have been installed in the programme venue where children and youngsters were found cheerful.
As per the organizer report, this auspicious culture promotional event of the Molsom tribe belongs to Halam community foster the Molsom integration as well as their special communal unity and heritage. Nijer Bandhu Molsom, senior advisor, and Ram Babu Molsom, G.S of MYA are always in promptness to protect and promote their society preserving Molsom heritage, culture & identity. Like this festival accelerates the union of the Molsom tribe; promotes our cultural identity, traces our communal existence in international level, said Ram Babu Molsom. Through this grand festival the Molsom social leaders focus over their various social aspects like language, religion, social culture, communal heritage, costume, unique Molsom tradition, education, economy, social fraternity and all kinds of social development. The Molsom social leaders motivate the Molsom people to preserve and protect their precious heritage and culture, create awareness to make understand people the immense significance of their unique valuable wealth of heritage. Different kinds of Molsom cultural programmes have been presented in this Anthar Buthar festival which were motivational and attractive. Many people from other communities also have participated this gorgeous festival and enjoyed it proportional maintaining communal fraternity, peace & harmony.
Amidst the distinguished participants there were Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia, MDC Sadagar Kalai, MYA president Ramani Kr. Molsom, Ampi BDO Ruatfela Darlong, Ampi BAC chairman Sindhu Ch. Jamatia and many others remained present in the programme.
